Result of Service The reconstruction of the UN building in Turkmenistan is successfully completed, delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, national regulations, and international standards. The supervising engineer”s contribution will result in: High-Quality Construction – all reconstruction works meet or exceed required technical, safety, security and quality benchmarks. Effective Oversight – consistent and transparent monitoring, verification against recommendations of the UN assessment team , and reporting on contractor performance and project progress. Timely Delivery – early identification and resolution of issues, minimizing delays and ensuring adherence to the project schedule. Accountability and Value for Resources – accurate certification of completed works and validation of contractor invoices, ensuring proper use of financial and material resources. Sustainable and Safe Facilities – the reconstructed building is operationally efficient, environmentally responsible, accessible, and provides a safe and secure working environment for UN staff and partners. Ultimately, the service ensures that the UN gains a fully functional, modernized building that supports the organization”s mandate in Turkmenistan and strengthens its operational capacity in the country.

Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Country team in Turkmenistan is committed to maintaining safe, functional, and sustainable facilities that enable staff and partners to deliver programs effectively. In support of this mission, reconstruction works are planned for the new UN building in Turkmenistan. The initiative aims to ensure the premises provide a modern, efficient, and secure environment, consistent with international standards, national regulations, and organizational requirements. The reconstruction process is expected to include upgrades to structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as improvements in accessibility, safety, energy efficiency, and environmental performance. Due to the complexity and scale of these works, continuous professional supervision is required to guarantee compliance, quality, and accountability throughout the project cycle.
