Program Background

The Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is an Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) program implemented by DT Global.

Under strategic direction from DFAT officials at the Australian High Commission in PNG, ESIP is delivering a range of activities and policy initiatives in the energy and telecommunications sectors. ESIP is also supporting PNG’s state-owned enterprise performance improvement program and delivering social infrastructure planning, design and construction services.

Gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and social and environmental safeguards, locally-led development and climate change disaster and resilience are focuses of the program and are mainstreamed across ESIP’s projects and operations.

The Role
The IT Officer will provide operational and technical ICT support to ESIP. The IT Officer will work closely with the IT Coordinator to ensure smooth functioning of the Program through prompt management of IT incidents, helpdesk support and assistance with procurement of IT assets and software.

About You

• Qualifications (Diploma) in IT or similar discipline

• A minimum of 3 years of practical and demonstrated experience in providing IT support services to a project or similar environment

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal English language skills

• Some knowledge and / or understanding of applying GEDSI and safeguards principles.
