The Regional Center in Panama serves 24 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. RSC-LAC offers Country Offices (COs) and other clients readily accessible services, class advice and technical support, and a trustworthy source of knowledge, experiences, and resources provided by a group of experts and professionals. It works through its COs with governments and people to develop customized solutions to development challenges and thus help to strengthen local capacities.

Tri-Partite Report on Non-Custodial Sentencing, Pre-Trial Detention and Informal Justice Mechanisms: CARICOM Member States
This tri-partite knowledge product focuses on the criminal justice system, providing a comprehensive review of the current situation, and offering recommendations for concrete joint actions by CARICOM and UNDP.
Practitioners’ Toolkit: Pre-Trial Victim-Offender Mediation
With support from the EU, UNDP has partnered with national stakeholders in Belize and Saint Lucia to develop tools and resources to assist jurisdiction in these two countries to promote effective and evidence-based early diversion – pre-trial diversion – in the criminal justice system, focusing specifically on the use of early diversion as a tool to reduce backlog of cases.

TASK
Provide design, layout and appropriate branding for 2 UNDP Knowledge Products (KP) in consultation with the project manager and in coherence with UNDP branding and style policies. Create stand-alone one-pagers based on the key recommendations/countries contained in the reports.
The Volunteer is encouraged to be creative in highlighting key information in ways which will engage readers and allow for social media use of report highlights across platforms.
The 2 products are roughly 169 and 64 pages, respectively.
REQUIREMENTS
A mix of creative, technical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate UNDP’s strategic vision and core mission into a compelling and cohesive visual identity that is consistent across all platforms.
Familiarity with the Caribbean context and is a bonus. Interest and familiarity with the work of UNDP and SDG 16 very welcome.
