The Role
The Partnerships Platform is collaborating with the Social Protection Unit of the Ministry of Women, Youth, Sport and Social Affairs (MWYSSA) to support the Government of Kiribati’s commitment to strengthening its social protection system. Central to this initiative is the development and implementation of a Social Protection Management Information System (SP-MIS), designed to improve efficiency, coordination, accountability, and service delivery across various social protection programs.
To lead this effort, a Project Manager will be engaged to oversee the end-to-end implementation of the SP-MIS, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and stakeholder needs. The role involves managing procurement, contractual, and financial processes, and serving as the key liaison between government ministries, technical suppliers, and development partners. The Project Manager will provide remote support with periodic travel to Kiribati and will be based within MWYSSA’s Social Protection Unit during in-country missions.
This assignment directly contributes to Partnerships Platform EOIO 2 and IO 2.1, delivering strategic, high-quality technical support aligned with national priorities.
