Job Description:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effective rapport building for mutual trust and accountability with communities and community stakeholders.
- Strictly adhere to the religious and cultural values and practices of target communities along the relationship chain.
- Maintain good terms of relationship with Immediate Supervisor, other colleagues, TP specialists and management lead.
- Maintain good terms of relationship with local partners, I/NGOs and concerned departments.
- Advocate and mobilize communities so that they can identify and address their real needs.
- Facilitate communities to make the voices of every participant heard and accounted important.
- Facilitate, educate and capacitate communities to come up with their own business ideas and plans which meet their contextual needs.

- Find the best way and develop proper system towards team synergy especially within respective core team.
- Adapt to the social, religious and cultural environment of the new workplace with a will to cope well with new challenges.
- Conduct review meetings or workshops for partnership health checklist and further action plan development wherever relevant/necessary.
- Deliver information about the organization, its missions and purposes to local stakeholders including other NGOs and authorities in a timely and persuasive manner.
- Take the lead in community advocacy meetings and clearly explain the goal and objectives of the project and planned implementation plans.
- Form Community Based Organizations (CBOs) or Producer Groups or Working Groups where necessary or relevant.
- Ensure that every participant in the advocacy meeting clearly understands a role to partake.

- Closely work with TP Specialists for identifying the livelihood needs and business opportunities of target communities.
- Identify gender sensitive potential livelihood activities which promise greater return for target beneficiaries.
- Facilitate target communities so that they can come up with business ideas and thus identify new business opportunities which can enhance their livelihoods.
- Identify potential business value chain and market linkage with local market actors and find a way to link with target beneficiaries or Producer Groups.
- Identify potential partners or opportunities and initiate to set up partnership system.
- Mobilize target communities to habituate learning and reflection system from respective activity.
- Facilitate and capacitate communities to set up their community development goals and action plans.

- Render required and relevant support to the community in close coordination and collaboration with respective technical specialists.
- Closely monitor and analyze the progress, development and behavior change of communities and report to TP specialists on a regular basis.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
- Two years experiences in the community development field are essential
- University bachelor’s degree in any discipline is essential
- Community mobilization, facilitation skills and formation of community-based organization.
- Skills in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, leadership, team management and organization.
- Previous experience in Agriculture and Livestock related projects, Market Linkage and Micro-credit activities.
- Proper community and partner engagement is essential
- Willing to subscribe to WV core values and core documents.

- Willing to serve the poor and work with the community is essential
- Interpersonal skills, team building and negotiation is essential
- Computer knowledge and skills is essential
