Job Description:

Job-Purpose

The community-based facilitator will work under the direct supervision of the cash & marketing officer and will support the implementation of the WV-US project. It will facilitate community mobilization, beneficiary selection and verification, training, and distribution of cash and agricultural inputs. Ensure proper documentation, follow up on complaints, and coordinate with community leaders and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery and accountability. Regular travel to targeted districts is required

Community engagement & Beneficiary Training :

  • Conduct surveys and assessments to identify eligible households for unconditional cash, Cash-for-Work (CfW), and agriculture interventions.
  • Support the registration and verification of selected beneficiaries according to project criteria.
  • Assist in sensitization and mobilization of local government structures, communities, and traditional authorities on project targeting and selection criteria.
  • Organize and facilitate inception meetings, community awareness sessions, and trainings with project stakeholders and community members at district and village levels.
  • Raise awareness among beneficiaries on program objectives, inclusion of vulnerable households, and use of community feedback and complaint mechanisms.
  • Coordinate closely with local authorities, health sector field staff, and other stakeholders to ensure proper identification of vulnerable beneficiaries, including SAM children and other severe cases.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly zonal coordination meetings and provide updates on community engagement and beneficiary selection.
  • Support monitoring and follow-up of project activities, including cash distributions, agriculture input delivery, and CfW implementation.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all community engagement and beneficiary-related activities

Timely delivery of the assistance

· Developing monthly detailed program activity implementation plans for the interventions

· Conduct the registration of targeting families, ensuring that the data is collected and is recorded appropriately

· Conducting awareness raising and messaging for affected beneficiaries on the program

· Work together with the officers on the development of distribution plans

· Help oversee delivery of cash assistance and helping ensure the resolution of any problems

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Contribute in conducting of FGDs, door to door surveys and survey for the baseline and end line and other survey.
  • Responsible for all required technical aspects on the ground on projects and ensure that implemented as required
  • Collect harvest date throughout the appropriate data collection tools
  • Collect any feedback received during the communities meeting and field visits and report to line manger timely
  • Provide monthly and weekly plans and reports
  • Develop success stories of the project’s interventions
  • Documentation of best practices for learning purposes and increase program visibility

Accountability:

  • Ensure full compliance with WVI’s Accountability Frameworks, Safeguarding Policies, Code of Conduct, and donor requirements by actively participating in AAP mandatory trainings and integrating accountability mechanisms into all project activities.
  • Conduct meaningful AAP community engagement and sensitization during field visits, including distribution of CFM cards to beneficiaries and facilitating awareness sessions on the feedback and complaints mechanism throughout project implementation.

  • To be aware and prepared to implement WV Afghanistan Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs plan under the context of respect province urban and rural interventions
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCERequired Education, training, license, registration, and/or

    Certification

    · Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Business and other field relevant to Agriculture.

     

  • Required Professional Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in management in Agriculture in small business, livelihood and cash-based intervention.
    • Demonstrated proven experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation working in international NGOs
  • Required Language(s)Fluency in English, Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken
  • Required travel and/or work environment accommodationsThis position is based in Faryab with travel to districts
