Job Description:

Major Responsibilities

All interventions are safe, inclusive, and protective of vulnerable groups, especially children and at-risk adults

  • Design and implement community feedback and complaint mechanisms (FCMs)
  • Monitor and analyze feedback data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are integrated into all phases of disaster response
  • Collaborate with MEAL, protection, and program teams to strengthen accountability systems

Capacity building for the staff members and the partner organizations

  • Conduct regular training and capacity building for staff and partners on accountability and safeguarding
  • Engage with communities to raise awareness about rights, entitlements, and safeguarding commitments
  • Staff and partners understand and apply safeguarding principles and accountability standards in all disaster response activities
  • Communities are informed and empowered to hold responders accountable and report misconduct

Transparent reporting supports continuous improvement and donor confidence

  • Lead investigations into safeguarding concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Report regularly to Operations lead, senior management and donors on accountability and safeguarding performance
  • Carry out or engage task with good judgement and responsibly.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments proactively
  • By actively participating with manager in producing a relevant and jointly agreed development plan
  • The plan will identify key areas which will assist in personal and professional development consistent with World Vision’s strategic goals
  • By demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to World Vision’s Core Values in the approach to work and relationships

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor”s degree in any discipline is essential
  • Master”s degree in social sciences, Community Development or related field is preferable
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accountability, safeguarding, protection, or related roles is essential
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing community feedback and complaint mechanisms in emergency contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing safeguarding investigations and applying survivor-centered approaches.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including children, women, and marginalized groups, in disaster-affected areas.
  • Familiarity with international safeguarding standards, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) frameworks.
  • Good command of Myanmar & English is preferred
  • Experience in emergency response situation is preferred
  • Good health condition, ability to work under stressful situations is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with diverse communities.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills, Analytical skills to interpret feedback data and identify trends.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced emergency settings.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Kobo, Power BI).
