Tasks and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Programme Office (HoPO) and Deputy Head of Programme Office (DHoPO), the incumbent will be performing the following functions:
Leading the Economic and Environmental Activities programme of the Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) and being responsible for all its aspects and activities;
Providing support and advice to the HoPO and DHoPO on economic governance, good governance, environmental and regional development issues;
Taking the lead in defining the strategy and necessary resources for the Economic and Environmental Activities programme through the Programme Budgeting process;
Overseeing and directing the development, co-ordination and implementation of economic governance, good governance, environmental and regional development governance projects, at the same time ensuring the implementation of the programmatic activities in full compliance with the OSCE’s Common Regulatory Management System (CRMS);
Ensuring that all relevant projects are adequately monitored, controlled and reported on;
Assisting in arranging OSCE events, inter alia, regional seminars and visits to the area by OSCE delegations, as well as other events with OSCE participation;
Supervising the work of all staff in the Economic and Environmental Activities programme;
Identifying local and international stakeholders relevant to the fulfilment of the programme and maintaining regular communication with them;
Representing the OSCE and the POiB in advocating for the fulfilment of economic and environmental governance commitments to external audiences;
Performing other duties as required.
