Sustainable Aid through Voluntary Establishment (SAVE-Ghana) is a leading civil society organization based in Tumu, Upper West Region of Ghana, working to promote peace, inclusion, and resilience among marginalized and livestock-dependent communities.
In Northern Ghana, online misinformation and hate narratives have increasingly contributed to community tension and violence, especially around land use, mobility, and ethnicity. This project forms part of SAVE-Ghana’s broader digital peacebuilding initiative to strengthen early warning and response systems using innovative technologies.
Volunteers will work remotely, collaborating with SAVE-Ghana’s peacebuilding and IT teams to conceptualize and implement the prototype.
We are looking for a multidisciplinary volunteer team with the following expertise:
• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning experience with NLP, text classification, and sentiment analysis.
• Data Science & Engineering ability to clean, preprocess, and analyze large text datasets from social media.
• Software Development: backend and frontend development (Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or similar).
• UX/UI Design experience in building user-friendly dashboards or web apps.
• Cybersecurity & Ethical AI: understanding of responsible data use, privacy, and AI bias prevention.
• Peacebuilding / Conflict Analysis: familiarity with digital peacebuilding or early warning systems in fragile contexts.
