Title: Director-Direct & Integrated Marketing

Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital & Direct Marketing, the Director, Direct & Integrated Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving transformational change within CRC’s direct mail, integrated marketing and stewardship programs. The Director will provide leadership and deep knowledge to optimize large, complex programs designed for revenue generation. While building on a strong base of supporters, the organization seeks to optimize our mass marketing efforts to grow unrestricted revenue. An important part of this growth will come from working collaboratively with the Director-Digital & Sustainer Marketing and Senior Lead-Sustainer Giving to drive innovation and move towards an audience-first approach across all channels.
The incumbent will also provide support to the broader Philanthropy team by developing Direct Marketing campaigns for Planned Giving to generate leads, as well as working with the Corporate team to engage their partners in marketing campaigns. As a member of the Philanthropy & Marketing Leadership team and by working in collaboration with colleagues across the organization, the Director will deliver best in class programs to drive growth.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and direct the annual budgets, team and fundraising strategy for the National Direct Mail programs for English and French Canada, working with agency partners, and completing regular reviews, projections and reporting on variances.
- Oversee the testing and innovation for Direct Marketing programs and ensure KPIs are regularly tracked, analyzed and reported on.
- Provide effective leadership to direct reports and the broader Direct & Integrated Marketing team through coaching, motivating, and performance development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other key stakeholders, and securing annual or monthly gifts to support the organization’s fundraising priorities.
- Overseeing the development, planning and execution of direct marketing programs, working collaboratively with the Director-Digital & Sustainer Marketing and Senior Lead-Sustainer Marketing, and ensuring they align with organizational goals and revenue objectives.
- Oversee multichannel direct and digital fundraising strategies and manage the team responsible for execution of these tactics to achieve organizational fundraising goals.
- Lead the stewardship and engagement team, strategy, and ensure there are strong conversion strategies in place for new donors.

What we are looking for:
- 8+ years of progressive, relevant experience as an exceptional marketer with proven skill in developing programs and campaigns that have driven results
- Fluency in English is required, French is an asset
- A successful track record with revenue generation, working with cross functional teams, and external partners to hit revenue targets
- A strong understanding of fundraising and the entire donor lifecycle
- Superior analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information and to communicate it to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated track record of providing strategic direction in the development and implementation of targeted marketing campaigns designed to achieve growth objectives, maintaining effective cost ratios
- Ability to effectively develop strong cross functional partnerships, evidenced by a track record of teamwork, collegiality and building relationships

- Leadership and management experience for a team of fundraising professionals, with the ability to provide strategic vision, drive innovation, and inspire and motivate teams to achieve program objectives.
- Ability to develop and manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
- The ability to manage effectively in a changing environment with multiple conflicting demands
- Ability to address complex, abstract problems and develop unique, precedent-setting solutions, while assessing and mitigating strategic risks.
- Communication, influence, persuasion and negotiation skills to promote complex and sensitive ideas, facilitate consensus and commitment with strategically important contacts or groups in sensitive, contentious, and political or controversial situations.
- Ability to apply knowledge of fundraising best practices, ethics, and regulations at national and international levels.
