The internship is located in the United Nations Road Safety Fund (UNRSF), United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva. Under the supervision of the Head of UNRSF, the incumbent is expected to contribute to the work of the UNRSF Secretariat as follows:
To qualify for the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met: – Applicants to the United Nations internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: (a) Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); Be computer literate in standard software applications; have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; Applicants for all countries are accepted and under-represented or un-represented countries in the UN are encouraged to apply. No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship. The experience studying or working on road safety projects and/or advocacy is desirable.
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Fluency in French, Spanish considered an asset.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization. Successful candidates should discuss their specific visa requirements before accepting the internship offer.
