In line with UNCTAD’s mandate to promote inclusive and sustainable digital economies, the eTrade Initiatives Section of the E-Commerce and Digital Economy (ECDE) Branch leads the eTrade for all and eTrade for Women initiatives. These flagships initiatives foster global dialogue to build more sustainable digital economies and.support women digital entrepreneurs in developing countries to grow and scale their businesses for an impact in their ecosystems. To amplify the Initiatives visibility, communicate impact, and better leverage storytelling, UNCTAD seeks to hire a Social Media & Digital Communications Specialist. Under the supervision of the Chief of Section, and in close collaboration with the Programme Management Officers in the team, the Individual Contractor will deliver expertise in the following key areas: 1. Enhancing online visibility and outreach
A first university degree, Bachelor, in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or any other relevant field is required At least 3 years of proven professional experience in digital marketing is required Demonstrated experience producing content for social media is required. Relevant experience with social media and content management (calendar creation, posting scheduling) is required. Familiarity with the digital entrepreneurship ecosystem and/or women’s economic empowerment is desirable Experience with the United Nations is desirable.
Fluency written and oral in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
