The Restoration Field Supervisor (RFS) oversees all aspects of field work in support of coral restoration carried out by the Virgin Islands Coral Program. This position serves as the principle contact and supervisor for matters related to restoration efforts in the field, communicates closely with the aquaculture team and project managers, and supports the Coral Program Manager in planning restoration activities each season. The RFS supports the Virgin Islands Coral Program Manager and team in defining conservation priorities and long-term conservation strategies of the program, builds strategic, scientific, and technical capacity in the field and develops key partnerships to identify coral restoration solutions and best practices. The RFS works with project managers to ensure field operations stay on track to carry out project tasks and deliverables on time and within scope. The RFS is also responsible for staff supervision, contract and budget management, and may be tasked with supporting applications for various funding. Some responsibilities include:
