The incumbent: 1.Supervisor: Hospital Director (administrative); receives technical guidance from the Field Pharmacist. 2.Supervisees: Pharmacy Assistants and any staff assigned to the hospital pharmacy.
The incumbent: 1 Responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and keeping records of all medical supplies and equipment used in the hospital. 2 Controls the movement and usage of narcotic drugs, anesthetic materials, and laboratory/Xray supplies. 3 Prepares intravenous mixtures, unit doses, and extemporaneous preparations as required. 4 Reviews individual patient drug administration forms periodically to ensure accuracy and compliance. 5 conducts routine inspections of wards and nursing units to maintain adequate floor-stock levels. 6 Dispenses medication to ambulatory patients in emergency and daycare settings. 7 Maintains accurate inventory and ensures compliance with pharmaceutical laws and regulations 8 Participates in quality assurance and contributes to training of pharmacy support staff. 9 Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
