The Office of the Special Adviser on Africa is responsible for assisting the Secretary-General in coordinating, integrating and aligning United Nations action on the interlinkages between peace, security, human rights and development in Africa, enhancing international support for Africa’s development and security and facilitating intergovernmental deliberations on Africa at the global level, in particular those relating to the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), which was recently transformed into the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD.
OSAA is looking for an online volunteers to design engaging content with high visual impact. This includes graphic design for web content, publications, promotional materials and digital media assets for a wide range of events and products. More specifically, the online volunteer will support the launch of OSAA’s flagship reports and the Academic Conference on Africa, by developing visually engaging materials
Key tasks
– Support the development of multimedia promotional materials for the Office”s publications and events.
Key Deliverables
– Each volunteer will produce 12 desktop publications using pre-designed templates
Proven experience in producing minimalistic, modern, and uncluttered designs with the use of and access to softwares such as Adobe CC, Illustrator, CorelDraw, In Design or other web design tools. • Proven experience in converting high-resolution design materials to user-friendly templates for further easy editing and corporate use by non-designers (Canva or similar tool). • Excellent research and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Access to InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
