JOB DESCRIPTION
Jan – March/June 2026 (3 months + 3 months, subject to performance and financing)
National (DRC) experts preferred
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Health Financing Specialist to support the implementation of the health financing component of the British Embassy Kinshasa’s health strategy, and work in synergy with the WHO to conduct a health financing situational analysis and provide technical support to the Ministry of Health.
The scope of work will include strategic engagement and coordination, technical and policy analysis, advocacy, policy influencing and programme design.
Expertise Required:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in public health, health economics or equivalent field
- Substantial experience in health financing, governance, Public Financial Management, and health system strengthening
- Proven ability to engage with health sector stakeholders in the Ministries of Health and Finance, Global Health Initiatives, implementation agencies and the donor community.
- Fluent in French and English
- Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills
- Excellent team-working and a willingness to contribute to capacity building for the BEK team
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Previous experience working with donor partners, DFID, FCDO, USAID or equivalent
- Specialized training in health economics or health financing in the context of low-income countries
- Health financing policy experience at the regional or international level
- Experience working in the health sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo
