About the job:

Based in Brussels, Belgium you will join the NCIA as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join The Office of The Financial Controller, which is responsible for all aspects of financial management and governance for the NCIA, covering customer funding for services and the associated customer rates and financial plan preparation, internal budgetary and fiscal activities, and the promulgation of financial policy and provision of financial advice. The NCIA’s annual business volume is in excess of 900M EUR.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Finance Analyst (General Ledger and Assets Accounting) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

Operational Management: Assist the Section Lead in managing daily operations of the General Ledger and Asset Accounting team, including PPE, Inventory and Lease accounting.
Close Processes: Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities.
Reconciliation: Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies; Prepare and review complex journal entries and adjustments.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports; Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies; Provide support during internal and external audits.
Team Support: Mentor junior accountants and provide training and guidance.
Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 4 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 6 years post-related experience.
• The ability to develop and maintain financial data and contribute to financial statement preparation;
• Experience in the use of ERP Financial Modules;
• Knowledge of IPSAS or IFRS or IAS;
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion is desirable;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
