Program Background

PROSIVU is an Australian Government-funded program that focuses on strengthening governance in Timor-Leste. This eight-year program (2022 – 2030) works in partnership with the Government of Timor-Leste to help Timor-Leste achieve its goal of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030. It is Australia’s primary program supporting Timor-Leste’s central government agencies and economic line-ministries in improving governance, economic policy and public sector reform. DT Global supports the implementation of PROSIVU on behalf of the Australian Government.

The Role

The Research and Partnership Engagement Officer is to provide support to the Research and Analytics (R&A) Team efforts, assisting the R&A Team Lead and Coordinator in all team activities, including engaging with commissioned and potential researchers, and ensuring that PROSIVU-generated research is disseminated appropriately to policy and decision-makers and to support the team’s Partnership and Engagement work, specifically through engagement with civil society primarily through grant partners.

About You

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Bachelor degree in economics, public policy or related area.
• Minimum five years’ experience working in economic and/or public policy or less may be adequate if it has been in a key advisory or advocacy role.
• Excellent communication, liaison and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Ability to comprehend and analyse reports and papers, provide appropriate advice and offer practical solutions.
