JOB DESCRIPTION

The Integrated Project Management (IPM) for the Systems Strengthening for Effective Coverage of New Vaccines in the Pacific Project in Samoa is looking for a project officer who will be responsible for supporting all administrative aspects of implementation of the project.

The position will work closely with the IPM national and international staff and key Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance counterparts.
Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide support to project activities in administration, logistics, reporting and compliance. This may include:
  • Support team and project meetings, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes
  • Support finance and procurement activities, including obtaining quotations, payments, banking
  • Support the collation of project reports
  • Support travel arrangements (domestic and international) for project team members
  • Logistical support related to the implementation of vaccination across Samoa and support for public education activities such as launches, press briefing etc

Other project activities as requested by MOH, MOF or IPM.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
• Competent in using the Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Experience in supporting administration and logistics is an advantage
• Ability to communicate and write well in Samoan and English

High school certificate with 2+ years’ of work experience; certificate in office administration, logistics, or related field will be an advantage
