Program Background
PROSIVU is an Australian Government-funded program that focuses on strengthening governance in Timor-Leste. This eight-year program (2022 – 2030) works in partnership with the Government of Timor-Leste to help Timor-Leste achieve its goal of becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030. It is Australia’s primary program supporting Timor-Leste’s central government agencies and economic line-ministries in improving governance, economic policy and public sector reform. DT Global supports the implementation of PROSIVU on behalf of the Australian Government.

The Role
The Disability Adviser will provide advisory and project implementation support to promote disability programming across PROSIVU program to support the Government of Timor-Leste in addressing the needs of people with disabilities into development of laws, policies, new systems, programs and budgets.

About You
Essential Experience and Knowledge
· Bachelor’s degree qualifications in Disability Studies, Gender and Development Studies, Economics or other related field.
· Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 7 years of experience of relevant work in the field of empowerment of people with disabilities.
· Previous experience in providing advisory support in planning and implementation of disability policies including National Action Plan on Disability.
· Post-graduate degree qualifications in Disability Studies, Gender and Development Studies, Social Science, or related field.
· Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
