Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC), a global project funded by the U.S Government and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), that provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to achieve HIV epidemic control among all at-risk populations; strengthen global health security (GHS), including outbreak response; expand improve maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH), address malaria; improve nutrition and promote health systems strengthening (HSS) including supply chain management. In Haiti, EpiC implements HIV, MNCH and nutrition activities, working closely with the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).
Job Description
FHI 360 is seeking a Technical Advisor, Community MNCH/Nutrition for the EpiC Haiti project. The advisor will provide technical leadership for community-based MNCH and nutrition programming, ensuring successful implementation of activities and achievement of workplan targets. The role will strengthen linkages between communities, health facilities, and other partners to improve health outcomes for mothers, newborns, and children.
This position will provide technical oversight, mentorship, and quality assurance for all community-level MNCH and nutrition activities, including community activities related to antenatal and postnatal care, child health, growth monitoring, nutrition screening, IYCF promotion, household visits, and referral mechanisms. The position will report to the Senior Technical Advisor, MNCH/Nutrition, and work closely with community organizations, departmental health offices, and implementing partners.
The position will be based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and work out of the FHI 360 Country office. Preference is for Haitian national candidates.
