Update
AIDS is not over and this year’s disruption to the global response has exposed the fragility of the progress many fought hard to achieve. The 2025 funding crisis has thrown the AIDS response into turmoil with massive disruptions to HIV prevention and community led services, particularly for the most vulnerable. Yet, 2025 has also been a year of transformation, laying the foundations for a more sustainable, inclusive and nationally owned HIV response. A new report by UNAIDS published ahead of World AIDS Day 2025 “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response” shows evidence that resilience, investment and innovation combined with global solidarity still offer a path to end AIDS. World AIDS Day 2025 is a moment for the global community to renew commitment to the AIDS response.
UNAIDS Uganda is seeking the help of an online volunteer to support in communications surrounding World AIDS Day 2025, 16 Days of Activism to End GBV, and a quarterly newsletter publication.
