About the Opportunity
This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives and contribute to our community.
As our new Recovery Worker, you will support people on their recovery journey by providing day-to-day psychosocial support, facilitating group programs, and working alongside clinical teams to promote wellbeing and connection. You’ll build respectful, collaborative relationships with participants and create a safe, inclusive environment that supports individual strengths, values lived experience, and encourages choice and self-direction.
This is a rewarding role; one where you’ll be playing an essential part in contributing to the continuous improvement of our services by offering insights, ideas, and practical support in the day-to-day running of the program.
PARC services operate 24/7 and, as such, flexible availability and willingness to work across day, evening, sleepover and weekend shifts is favourable. Sleepover shifts commence at 6:30pm in the afternoon where you’re active on shift until 11:30pm, then active again from 7:30am to 8:30am the next day. Penalty rates apply for all relevant hours worked.
About the Program
The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program is a partnership between Wellways and Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH). It provides short-term, sub-acute residential support for people who are either at risk of becoming unwell or who are transitioning out of hospital and need a safe space to continue their recovery.
PARC services offer a welcoming, home-like environment where people receive both clinical and psychosocial support tailored to their goals. Our recovery-oriented approach values cultural safety, peer participation, community connection, and evidence-informed practice.
