A bit about the role
Are you someone who loves making meaningful connections and supporting young people to thrive? We’re looking for caring, energetic individuals to join our Housing Support and Care at Home service, where the focus is all about empowering young adults to live independently in their own homes and communities. There”s no need for loads of experience or qualifications — we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a real commitment to giving the best care to children and young people.
Right now, we’re lucky to support two amazing young people, a young man and a young woman, who each have their own tenancies. They live with learning disabilities and sometimes experience behaviours that challenge, but they’re full of personality, potential, and a love for life. With 2:1 support, we help them navigate daily routines, personal care, and medication, but that’s just the beginning.
This role is about bringing joy and adventure into everyday life. Think walks in the park, swimming, surfing, exploring new places, and finding fun in the little things. You’ll be part of a team that celebrates progress, encourages independence, and helps young people build confidence and life skills.
As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll help shape personalised care plans, support decision-making, and be a trusted presence as our young people take steps toward their goals. You’ll be there for the milestones, big and small, and help them feel safe, seen, and supported.
We believe that behaviour is communication, and we work hard to listen, understand, and respond with compassion. If you’re someone who’s patient, proactive, and passionate about making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Come and join a team where your work truly matters and where every day brings new opportunities to grow, laugh, and support others to shine.
How you”ll help to create brighter futures
Working in this environment can be so rewarding when you see the difference you”re truly making. Our aim is to give every young person we work with the support and guidance to reach their potential and support their aspirations for a positive future, and this is a vital part of our work.
