Context

You will work closely with the partnerships and ecosystem team to track evolving trends and emerging actors in global and African innovation ecosystems. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential, along with the ability to synthesize information into actionable insights. A background in international development, business, or public policy is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an online volunteers who has experience in research, is self-motivated, and possesses excellent writing skills. The task will include the following responsibilities:

– Identify and gather prospective partners
-Build and contribute to partnership databases
– Conduct research on potential partners as informed by the Partnerships team
– Develop reports on partners and potential partners
– Create a shared form with the findings, highlighting important findings

The average estimated workload is expected to include a weekly report on partnership opportunities and regular updates to the partnership databases.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the timbuktoo Initiative Partnership team at the Regional Bureau for Africa, and learn about Africa’s development finance, startup and entrepreneurship ecosystems, and how partnership processes function at UNDP.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should have strong research, writing and analytical skills. Background knowledge and/or working experience in the African entrepreneurship ecosystem is desirable. A degree in a related field is considered an asset.
