About the team you are joining

IATA strives to improve the understanding of the air transport industry among decision-makers and increase awareness of the benefits that aviation brings to national and global economies. Advocating for the interests of airlines across the globe, we challenge unreasonable rules and charges, hold regulators and governments to account, and strive for sensible regulation.

You will report to the Senior Vice President, External Affairs and you will reinforce IATA”s external affairs division, enhancing its ability to represent the interests of the airline industry.

What your day would be like

• Produce External Affairs publications, such as the Global Advocacy Update, eBriefing and GOVAFs and organize the internal calls.
• Manage the External Affairs web presence (policy pages at iata.org, intranet and extranet).
• Assist in the delivery of Advocacy related campaigns through surveys, Sharepoint , Teams or other tools.
• Maintain and manage the External Affairs stakeholder’s contact database and external communications
• Organize and manage all the logistics, communications and meeting documentation for the IAAC and Working Group meetings and other External Affairs events.
• Monitor, respond, find and provide solutions or technical support to inquiries from members and general public received on the External Affairs generic mailbox ([email protected])
• Review, update and maintain global Advisory Councils or their equivalents, their subgroups in the Member Engagement Data in Salesforce

Additional responsibilities:
• Advocacy/campaign progress tracking and management
• Management of Global/Regional External Affairs Coordination calls
• Design and manage External Affairs dashboard and Online Platform
• Ad-hoc administrative support to the External Affairs team (e.g., preparation of PowerPoint presentations and other advocacy materials as may be required).

We would love to hear from you if you:

University degree in business administration, international relations or other related field;
Minimum five years of professional experience in a relevant field with strong and demonstrable research, analysis, and writing ability;
Excellent PC skills, particularly with MS Office and Salesforce.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
