JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

You will coordinate and support the implementation of the Country Program HR strategy and operational plans, ensuring efficient and high-quality HR and operational services. Your role includes managing employee administration, recruitment, staff development, performance management, onboarding, travel coordination, and related operational support. You will ensure compliance with agency policies, donor requirements, and local legal regulations while supporting managers and staff to effectively achieve program goals.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of HR in managing HR programs and services.
  • Coordinate HR processes to meet legal and best practice standards, providing advice and support to managers for effective staff management.
  • Help coordinate and support HR processes, activities, and service delivery, to ensure compliance with the latest agency, donor, and local legal requirements, standards, and reflect best practices.
  • Assess service needs and provide quality process services and advice to support managers in their daily staff management responsibilities.
  • Collect and organize input on HR processes and policies, and participate in the review and update of various systems, manuals, guidelines, and tools.
  • Support professional development needs assessment and help ensure the provision of precise development programs for CRS staff and partners.
  • Maintain record keeping through personnel files and/or Oracle HCM that adheres to required CRS, donor, and local law regulations. As needed, provide support on analytical reports on HR-related data, metrics, and trends to support decision-making, workforce planning, and development.
  • Facilitates travel logistics.
  • Supports procurement, bookings, and inventory management to enable smooth program operations.

Required Languages:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to write reports. Verbal and written Arabic strongly preferred.

Travel – No travel is anticipated in this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from an accredited Institution.
  • Certified HR professional with active membership in a recognized HR body (minimum: IHRM membership)
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in HR, preferably with an International or local NGO and good knowledge of HR best practices and standards.
  • Experience with and knowledge of employment laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts, and practices.
  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, and HRIS.

Internal: Head of Operations, all CRS Sudan staff, regional HR Advisors

External: Legal Advisors, government bodies
