Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Risk Management Analyst is assigned to the Treasury and Liquidity Risk Division (RMTL) within the Office of Risk Management. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to Director, RMTL and Officer as applicable.

Your Role

As a Risk Management Analyst, you will provide analytical and technical support in the following areas: (i) risk assessment and reporting of the various counterparty credit risks from ADB’s treasury operations; (ii) compliance monitoring and investigations related to treasury exposures; (iii) data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of inputs into risk management processes and reports, including trade data, market data and credit ratings; and (iv) facilitating the systematic generation of credit risk limits compliance monitoring reports for both the external and internal asset management programs. You will also provide operational support to Director, RMTL to facilitate efficient division operations, refine workflows, and coordinate important projects across the team.

You will:

a. Analytical and Technical Support for Treasury and Liquidity Risk·

  • Help prepare treasury risk reports for risk monitoring and review. Support the monitoring and reporting of counterparty credit risk exposures including those from investments and derivatives transactions.

  • Conduct data integrity checks and generate compliance and credit exposure reports. Download and validate counterparty data (including credit ratings and financial statements line items) from Bloomberg.

  • Monitor daily collateral balance updates.

  • Support RMTL-related IT projects, including user acceptance testing, validation of limits and compliance monitoring, and implementation of treasury risk management guidelines.

  • Contribute to the preparation of the ADB-wide risk reporting efforts, including regular reports to senior management and the Board (e.g., the quarterly risk management report, risk committee materials).

  • Provide weekly updates on ADB’s current liquidity position, highlighting recent movements and trends in basic liquidity risks as reflected in the balance sheet.

b. Operational Support

  • Contribute to the development of the division’s work program and budget framework, including annual and mid-year resource planning, to support effective execution of strategic priorities.

  • Support Director, RMTL in managing workload distribution and monitoring progress of RMTL’s work program and budget utilization.

  • Support the division’s daily operations by streamlining work processes to enhance consistency in approaches and practices and improve data management and reporting.

  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned as reflected in your workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, communications, or related fields.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience using relevant applications such as Bloomberg is an advantage.

  • Experience undertaking research on difficult but well-defined tasks; collect and logically organize and present required information, prepare notes, briefing papers, and presentation materials.

  • Experience understanding data, finding insights, and developing solutions independently or with others.

  • Written and verbal proficiency in English.

Additional Information

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff’s performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
