The Medical Supply Technician II is responsible for the maintenance, repair, inspection, and delivery of medical equipment within the Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP). This role ensures equipment is safe, functional, and aligned with quality standards. The Technician II provides technical support, delivers and sets up equipment in clients’ homes, and offers customer service to ensure effective use. They also support day-to-day operations and contribute to a safe, responsive, and client-focused service environment.

In this role, you will :

  • Conduct maintenance and repair of medical equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures.

  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment components (including electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic) to ensure they meet safety and performance specifications.

  • Clean and disinfect medical equipment following approved protocols to ensure client safety.

  • Deliver, install, and retrieve equipment at clients’ homes and other sites, ensuring proper setup and basic instruction for safe use. shipping and receiving medical equipment as needed.

  • Provide technical support and advice to internal teams, clients, and caregivers regarding equipment use and care.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service calls in the inventory management system.

  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and incidents to the operations lead in a timely and thorough manner.

  • Ensure all documentation meets established quality, regulatory, and procedural standards.

  • Support and guide new employees and volunteers by sharing technical knowledge and demonstrating procedures as required

What we are looking for :

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years’ experience and a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required.

  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, by applying standard procedures and functional or organizational knowledge.

  • Communication skills, diplomacy and empathy to interpret information and deliver advice, clarify client or stakeholder needs, offer solutions, and resolve escalations in new or somewhat sensitive situations.

  • Experience and knowledge of medical supply equipment maintenance and repair procedures.

  • Experience in field-based service delivery, including in-home equipment setup, customer interaction, and troubleshooting.
