Where Your Career is a Force for Good! WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The Process Engineer plays a critical role in advancing Service Delivery and driving Supply Chain excellence. This position requires the ability to understand technical problems and solutions within both the current and future business environment. You will leverage strong analytical skills to assess complex data, diagnose issues, and propose thoughtful, strategic solutions that enhance operational performance.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Lean Engineering to design and implement lean processes and efficient workflows. You will support the development, review, approval, and execution of regulatory and operational processes across Service Delivery under the broader Supply Chain umbrella. The Process Engineer ensures that all process implementations are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with business unit goals—while continuing to monitor operational execution post-implementation.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): Oversee and coordinate business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align solutions with business initiatives and improve processes by understanding and controlling variation. Review proposals for process improvement and gap analyses between current processes and the desired state, design complex new processes and lead transition planning. Contribute to the business unit process engineering plan and integrate it with the corporate plan.

Contribute to large, complex projects that have enterprise-wide impact and require subject matter expertise of multiple process improvement areas and mastery of process improvement tools. Monitor preparation of functional, system and program specifications using CASE (Computer-Aided Software Engineering). Participate in continuous review and updates to ensure that processes meet changing business unit conditions to develop short- and long-term system plans.

Serve as senior advisor and participant in planning and prioritization for business process engineering-related activities. Pay Information: The salary range for this position is $105k- 122k Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

This role is not eligible for relocation assistance WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: 4-year college degree in Business, engineering, or related field Minimum 7-10 years of related experience Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities; effectively analyze problems and recommend appropriate solutions Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications preferred May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout Red Cross system Must demonstrate expertise in strategic planning, tactical execution, project management, process management and business systems requirements definition Must understand technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as the future business environment Skilled in analyzing complex data, diagnosing issues, and proposing thoughtful, strategic solutions Experience designing lean processes and efficient workflows Ability to travel up to 20%, as business needs arise WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE: High level of understanding of the organization’s business systems and processes as well as industry-wide requirements Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desired BENEFITS FOR YOU: As a mission-based organization, we believe our team needs great support to do great work.
