EDITING & DESIGN a) Submission of one edited and polished electronic manuscript based on the final edited manuscript of Technical Cooperation Highlights 2024-2025 (expected to be approximately 20,000 words and 90 pages), containing approximately 15,000 words and a storyline. b) Submission of the well-designed 2024-2025 Technical Cooperation Highlights in high-resolution digital file for print and digital product in PDF and ePub format ready for online dissemination. Infographics, figures, tables, graphs and icons also to be shared in separate raw files for use in related TC Highlights dissemination material later developed by ESCAP. c) Submission of the well-designed modular components of the 2024-2025 Technical Cooperation Highlights. All items to be submitted in high-resolution digital file for print and digital product in PDF and ePub format ready for online dissemination. 2. INDIVIDUAL TESTIMONIALS & COLLAGE OF TESTIMONIALS (POST-PRODUCTION ONLY) Submission of five, 50-70-second well-edited final video products of testimonials to support narrative in ‘Spotlight Success Stories of the TC Highlights’, one per chapter.

The individual contractor (IC) will work under the overall guidance of the Chief, Capacity Development and Partnerships Section (CPS) on the following outputs: 1. EDITING & DESIGN a) Edit the Technical Cooperation Highlights 2024-2025 report: The IC will assist in ensuring that the report is produced and of editorial high quality, both in terms of copy editing and line editing. In particular this would include: reduction of text, composition of text, synthesis of key findings, consistency of language, application of UN/ESCAP editorial style, coherence and clarity, spotting repetition/redundancies, spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax, and a final proofread of text in final layout prepared by the designer, including text in graphs, visuals and tables. The IC would also be expected to help identify and draw out a storyline and clear messages to facilitate the engagement of the intended audience. The manuscript is to be provided to the IC in sections for editing and reviewing. b) Develop a design for the Technical Cooperation Highlights 2024-2025 report: The designer will create the design of the report, including the design of infographics, figures, tables, and graphs for print and digital product for online dissemination. Guidelines on the design and infographics to be developed will be provided to the designer. c) Creation of modular components of Technical Cooperation Highlights 2024-2025 content for dissemination: based on the design work undertaken in output 1.b, the IC will assist in creating: (i) stand-alone, modular components of the report by chapter and success story, to allow for sections of the report to be downloaded from the internet and/or printed on demand; 2. INDIVIDUAL TESTIMONIALS & COLLAGE OF TESTIMONIALS (POST-PRODUCTION ONLY) Five 50-70-second video testimonials to support narrative of the selected stories in the TC Highlights: post-production of video recordings of partner testimonial captured by ESCAP (one per chapter). The IC will assist in formulating a storyline from the pre-recorded testimonials that is in synergy with, and/or complements and builds on the corresponding stories’. This would include editing footage, inserting captions and embedding any design work into a final video product;
Academic Qualifications: First level university degree. 5 – 7 years of working experience in technical editing and communications, journalism and photojournalism, public information, video production, arts, public administration or related areas.
Excellent English drafting skills and experience in editing ESCAP and/or United Nations documents, publications and digital media.
