The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV is active in 160 countries every year. UNV is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). UNV is headquartered in Bonn, Germany, with a field presence comprising 6 regional offices and 50+ field units.
The Human Resources Section (HRS) of UNV provides HR services to support its workforce. Within HRS, the Capacity Development Team (CDT) designs and implements learning programmes through the UNV Learning Portfolio, which includes five core learning experiences: Onboarding, Skills Surge, Empowerment for Change, Connect and Learn, and Career Craft.
As part of UNV diverse learning portfolios, Capacity Development Learning Facility (CDLF) and UNV Youth Workshops offer targeted workshops on thematic areas to enhance core and cross-functional skills, promote peer learning, and support volunteers in their roles.
The UNV Capacity Development Learning Facility Programme and UNV Youth Workshops are learning initiatives that support UN Volunteers in their professional development. To assess the impact of the programme, participant feedback and evaluation data have been collected. The goal is to evaluate the programmes” effectiveness and provide insights to enhance future initiatives.
