The IT expert will ensure the stability, reliability, and effective daily operation of the current TiSSTAT platform (v1.6.x) for CARICOM Member States. Under the supervision of the project officer of the STAT, the consultant will ensure the smooth progress of the project as follows: 1. Help designing the technical architecture and framework for TiSSTAT version 2.0. 2. Help developing a detailed migration strategy and data compatibility layers from v1.6.x to v2.0. 3. Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts for new core features in the 2.0 roadmap. 4. Code, test, and integrate requested features and capabilities for the future v2.0 release. 5. Maintain a parallel development track for v2.0 while supporting the stable v1.6.x branch. 6. Establish and manage development, testing, and staging environments. 7. Conduct rigorous integration and performance testing (UAT) for all new developments. 8. Produce comprehensive technical documentation for the new platform. 9. Develop training materials for the major version upgrade. A weekly meeting will be organized with the lead developer of the STAT service to help monitor the project”s advancement, promptly address any issues, and ensure that all project milestones are met as expected.
Advanced university degree, Master, in IT software engineering is required. At least 3 years of experience in information systems design, software development, technical writing, or related area is required At least 3 years of experience in designing successful user interfaces, or related area is required At least 3 years of experience in MS SQL, Spring Boot and Angular is required Specialization in mathematics or statistics would be an advantage.
High level of proficiency in oral and written English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
