DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, the intern will be responsible for the following tasks: – Support operational workflow improvements, including documenting workflows and preparing recommendations to improve knowledge management; deliver at least two workflow or process updates by July 2026. – Assist with internal financial processes, including preparing supporting documents, supporting budget tracking tables, and ensuring proper filing of financial records. – Support HR-related administrative tasks, such as organizing recruitment files, assisting with onboarding documents, and maintaining training and HR activity records. – Support GEO governance processes, including preparation for governance meetings (e.g., compiling documentation, managing timelines, and supporting meeting logistics). – Support operating planning and performance management processes, including periodic updating of the annual operating plan, organizing internal planning meetings, and supporting the individual performance management cycle for staff members. – Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and events, including the GEO 2026 Symposium and Plenary. – Contribute to data and records management, ensuring that governance, HR, procurement, and finance documentation is up-to-date, clearly organized, and accessible in shared systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor”s degree in Public Administration, Business or Operations Management, International Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.

Experience

No previous work experience is required. Experience in knowledge management, finance, HR processes, procurement, governance, project management, or data management are an advantage.

Other requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills; high attention to detail; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with workflow, project management, or document-management tools is an asset. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.

Languages

Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Knowledge of another official Organization language is considered an asset.
