Field Assistant (Internal#136/2025)

icddr,b is a Bangladesh-based international health research institute that strives to solve key public health problems through high-quality scientific research and innovation. icddr,b as a values-based organization encourages women and people with disabilities.

The Program is for early childhood development under the Maternal and Child Health Division (MCHD) at icddr,b integrated with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) of the Government of Bangladesh. The programme is currently running in different districts in collaboration with different departments under the health ministry at sub-district and local level to improve development of young children.

Position description
The Field Assistant will report to the Field Research Officer and will be responsible for project implementation, documentation, technical support and team support for smooth running of intervention activities within the guidelines of project protocol and organizational values and guidelines. S/he will be involved in–

• Maintain logistics and intervention materials;

• Collection of raw materials to prepare toys;

• Prepare toy materials for the use in the ECD intervention programme;

• Screen 6-36 months old children at the project catchment area to enroll in the study;

• Bring children for psychometric data collection.

Required qualification and experience
• SSC or equivalent passed;

• Minimum 1 year of experience; Candidates having experience in any project/programme/research related to early childhood development, will be given preference.

Contract Type and Duration
• Contractual service agreement (CSA) basis for 06 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Salary & benefits
Tk.27,912/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances;

• Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
