Education
Higher Secondary Education Diploma
Vocational/Professional training
Health and Safety Course certification within the last (5) years

Work Experience and/or Skills
Three years of professional experience in fire prevention, emergency response, and environmental safety, including performing fire inspections, enforcing safety regulations, and coordinating rapid response to fire and workplace emergencies.
Demonstrated experience to inspect, operate, and maintain fire protection systems, including fire pump stations, hydrants, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm control panels to ensure operational readiness and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Experienced in troubleshooting fire detection and suppression systems, performing routine verifications, and coordinating maintenance or corrective actions.
Skilled in emergency evacuation procedures, including reading and interpreting blueprints, floor plans, and other facility documentation to identify escape routes, alarm zones, and firefighting access points.
Hands-on experience assisting with elevator rescue operations, including coordinating with maintenance teams and ensuring safe extraction of trapped individuals in accordance with safety protocols.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and data management related to fire incidents, safety audits, and equipment inspections.
Knowledgeable local fire codes, ensuring compliance through regular inspections, documentation, and training.
DESIRABLE
Education
Certified vocational studies in fields related to the duties of the job (for example, university engineering studies, certified fire prevention certificates, etc.).
Work Experience and/or Skills
Strong background in multinational and international environments, with over three years of experience in workplaces where English is a principal working language, collaborating effectively with diverse teams and adhering to global safety standards.

DUTIES
Conducts day-to-day activities as directed by the Emergency Response Team Supervisor.
Responds to emergency dispatches from International Military Police involving elevator entrapments, performing safe passenger extractions in coordination with maintenance teams and following approved rescue and safety procedures.
Responds (and trains to respond) to different types of workplace emergencies in a safe, effective and timely manner.
Supports regular inspections, maintenance and testing of all emergency prevention and response equipment.
Assists in inspecting buildings, structures, facilities, and premises to detect and eliminate potential fire hazards and to identify and report other environmental hazards.
Inspects fire extinguishing and fire protection equipment to ensure equipment is operable and prepares reports identifying deficiencies and updating inventory.
Cooperates to ensure that automatic fire alarm systems, when required, are present, operable, and properly maintained in accord with pertinent regulations.
Ensures that all exit and information signs are properly displayed and maintained.
Removes and/or reports any obstacles that may obstruct building evacuation.
Identifies and reports any risk or imminent danger caused by inflammable, toxic or dangerous materials in the workplace.
Performs initial and minor fire suppression duties and hazardous operations first response.
Performs administrative support functions such as preparing and completing reports; uses word processing, spreadsheet and other related software.
Participates in emergency evacuation procedures and exit route assignments.
Provides first aid in emergency situations.
Reads and interprets building blueprints and other building/facility documents as they pertain to evacuation routes, interacting with supervisory chain and stakeholders when changes are implemented.
Reports findings to stakeholders and supervisory chain detailing violations and recommended corrective action.
Interacts with Italian fire department officials/team providing immediate language assistance in English for non-Italian personnel.
CONTRACT
The basic gross monthly salary is Euro 2,262.22 which is not exempt from national taxation.
