Under the overall supervision of the Director and the task manager for the new Bank Group’s Ten-Year Strategy (TYS 2.0), the main responsibility of the consultant is to synthesize and pull together (into a coherent narrative on the Bank’s strategic orientation) a broad array of feedback from the Bank’s stakeholders, background studies, the Bank’s existing strategies for each of the High 5, and the independent evaluation. The narrative should be underpinned by a clear theory of change and a results framework illustrating the causal relationship between Africa’s challenges, opportunities and key priorities on one hand and, on the other hand, the Bank’s vision for Africa, objectives, development priorities, proposed actions, capacity to deliver, and underlining assumptions and risks (i.e. the causal pathways of change).
