Finance Coordinator, Reporting  (220007DT)
 

TITLE:  Finance Coordinator, Reporting

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  1. FINANCIAL REPORTS (40% FT LOE)
  1. Preparing of financial reports for the relevant awards assigned by supervisor.
  2. Provide information to the relevant FCC departments to do adjustments accordingly to donor requirement and BH feedback.
  3. Provide / coordination with BH and Awards on the response/justification for the over/under spending.
  4. Track past, current, and future expenditures at varying levels (e.g., office, program, administration).

  1. BVA’S PREPARATION AND CIRCULATION (25% FT LOE)
  1. Preparation of the template for the assigned new awards monthly monitoring sheet.
  2. Preparation and shared the BVAs for the assigned SoF with the relevant BH and address their concerns.
  3. Respond to the action points raised by the budget holder/Tas and other program team for the assigned awards.
  4. Coordinate with the Budget team on National and International Staff time sheet.

  1. NAF AND OTHER DESIGNATED FUNDS FOCAL POINT (10% FT LOE)
  1. Preparation NAF and other Designated funds monitoring sheet for supervisor review and onward submission to the FD.
  2. Take corrective adjustments on NAF in coordination with FCC team.

  1. OTHERS (25% FT LOE)
  1. Travel to the provinces for capacity building in donor/internal reporting.
  2. Assist in conducting internal/external audits for the issue related to the reporting section.
  3. Act as a focal person for assigned awards.
  4. Assist in covering for any other position in the Director, Finance team during vacancy, leaves, or high workload.
  5. Be a member of the procurement/bid committee representing finance department.
  6. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  7. Ready to work to respond to any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Afghanistan.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recommended a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Master/16 – 18 years of education in related field
  • Excellent analytical skills-the ability to analyses complex financial data and design and produce effective management information
  • Excellent experience of reporting
  • Excellent experience of computerized accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies.
  • Understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and a commitment to its values
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
