The Position:
The Programme Management Associate supports the design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme by managing data inputs, providing logistical support, monitoring project implementation and following up on recommendations.

The ongoing war in Ukraine continues to take a toll on the lives of an estimated 14.5 million people in need of health assistance and an estimated 17.7 million people requiring protection assistance and services inside Ukraine. The estimated number of internally displaced people is 6.9 million, and more than 7.5 million refugees are recorded in European countries. As of 17 October, WHO had verified 541 attacks on health facilities; access to health care remains extremely challenging due to severe service disruptions, security concerns, restricted mobility, broken supply chains and mass displacement.

Job Purpose:
Under the supervision of Programme Management Specialist is primarily responsible for provision of integrated programme and operational support to delivering the results of UNFPA programme activities.
Programme Associate supports design, planning and management of UNFPA’s country programme by collecting and analysing data to assist programme planning and policy advocacy, managing processes and organising resources to support the programme delivery in line with UNFPA programme policy and procedures, and support programme management, in the areas of population development, reproductive health, health system response to GBV, including reproductive health commodity security and other areas covered by the UNFPA mandate.
The Programme Associate applies established systems and procedures and assist in the creation of knowledge by compiling, synthesising, and analysing information relevant to reproductive health issues and emergencies. S/he is instrumental in facilitating programme/ project implementation using and developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with UNFPA procedures.
