Job Title: Talent Sourcing Consultant (External)

Background: The Human Resources Department (HRD) is responsible for the administration and development of the human capital of the IDB Group. The main functions of the department include managing the entire employee lifecycle, overseeing the implementation of the “People Strategy”, and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of IDB’s results-based business model. HRD is also dedicated to implementing its mission to deliver human-centered experiences and strategically partnering with professionals who are passionate about improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The team: At the Talent Management Division (HRD/TLM), we build strategic partnerships with our clients across our 26 offices in Latin America and the Caribbean, our two regional offices in Asia and Europe, and headquarters, in Washington, D.C.

The Talent Sourcing team is a fun and dynamic team within the Talent Management Division. We thrive on the challenge of pursuing “hard-to-find” talented candidates and revel in the thrill of bringing them to consideration for a career opportunity.

As Talent Sourcing Consultant, your challenge will be to search and identify which candidates proceed to the pre-screening for “staff” vacancies. You will ensure that for every position you will be assigned to, we can see the best possible talent and have a shortlist of 4/5 candidates meeting all the requirements of education and experience for the role.

What you’ll do:

Sourcing candidates:

  • Working in close collaboration with the Recruiters and Hiring Managers, you will be in charge of searching and finding “passive” qualified candidates, screening and evaluating candidates for staff/consultant positions within the IDB group, focused on digital skills and tech positions.
  • You will manage the pre-selection process until acceptance of the shortlist by the client unit, prior to interviews. In addition, you may be asked to collaborate on specific talent-sourcing initiatives in certain specific countries or target a specific talent pool.

Recruitment Marketing

  • As part of our efforts to attract talent for the future of the IDB Group, you will design and develop recruitment marketing campaigns with a focus on active students and young professionals.
  • Identify universities in the region to run the campaigns, based on the criteria provided by the Talent Solutions Team, and develop the relationship working in partnership with the Special Programs Team.
  • Design and develop promotional materials about our Internship and Young Talent Programs to use in social media and targeted campaigns.
  • Design and execute external recruiting and Employer Branding events.

Research marketing and advertising trends & keep abreast of new trends in social media channels

What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of sourcing/recruitment marketing experience with a demonstrable track record in a multicultural and international environment. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
