JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

The Technical Project Support services across all project portfolios within the project management team to aid in the achievement of the overall goal and specific objectives of ESP. The position is responsible to assist in conducting research, data gathering, drafting of technical papers in close collaboration with and supervision/guidance by the Chief of Party/Deputy Chief of Party, technical leads, and/or consultants engaged. S/he will aid in liaising with public and private entities, local governments, civil society organizations and academic institutions in the implementation of various activities that are designed to support the effective implementation of the different energy laws passed by the national and sub-national government

Responsibilities

  1. Provide project or project related technical support services across all project portfolios within the project management team;
  2. Assist in the conduct of research, data gathering, drafting of technical papers in close collaboration with and supervision/guidance by the Chief of Party/Deputy Chief of Party, technical leads, and/or consultants engaged for the assignment that may include, but not limited to, the promotion of clean energy, the displacement/replacement of fossil fuel in both the power generation and across all sectors (commercial, industrial and transportation), energy efficiency, renewable energy, green finance, and/or other low carbon/net zero/climate-related strategies and activities;
  3. Assist the ESP team in liaising with public and private entities, local governments, civil society organizations and academic institutions in the implementation of various activities that are designed to support the effective implementation of the different energy laws passed by the national and sub-national government;
  4. Assist the ESP team in coordinating activities that support the ultimate goals of the ESP Activity;
  5. Assist the Communication and Outreach Specialist in the design and implementation of communication and outreach activities;
  6. Contribute to the drafting of the weekly highlights, activity reports, and quarterly, annual and terminal reports as may be assigned by the appropriate ESP staff;
  7. Assist in the design and conduct of trainings/workshops to be held with private and public partners;
  8. Coordinate and arrange meeting and project materials for distribution as necessary
  9. Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Chief of Party

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in a reputable university/college in the Philippines.
  • 1 year of related experience in similar/related capacity is a plus but is not necessary
