Position: Humanitarian Communications and Media Lead

Location:  Global Secretariat hubs in Johannesburg, Nairobi, or any hosting ActionAid country office

Contract duration:  12 months fixed term contract

Entry Salary:  Grade E, starting from £59,000 Gross salary per annum

Job Description

 

The Role:

Are you a dynamic and strategic media and communications expert with the ability to drive up excellent global media and social media coverage of humanitarian crises? Can you creatively craft stories and shine a spotlight on key humanitarian media moments, emergencies, and campaigns? Are you passionate about women’s and young people’s rights in crisis and eager to amplify their voices? If so, the Humanitarian Communications and Media Lead role at ActionAid may be the perfect fit for you!

We are seeking a dynamic team player to join us and take on an entrepreneurial and strategic role in driving forward media, communications, and brand coverage for ActionAid’s humanitarian work globally.

 

You should also have a strong commitment to ActionAid’s values and ethos, including ActionAid’s feminist leadership principles.
