Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Social Security Team (SSwithin the Operational and Advisory Support Unit (OAS, Human Resources Management Service (HRM, Division for Management (D, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOand United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNOD. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Chief, OASU and overall guidance of the Chief, HRMS. Responsibilities
Within assigned authority, the incumbent will perform the following specific duties: • Provide administrative services to active and former (retirestaff members with regard to their participation in the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPand liaise with UNJSPF Offices. • Provide administrative services to active and former (retirestaff members in the area of health and life insurance and liaise with the different providers, i.e. Allianz Care, OEGK (“Österreichischen Gesundheitskasse”Austrian national health insuranc, CIGNA (UN Worldwide Plan for staff members in UNODC field location, Hartford Life Insurance, as well as with counterparts at the Health and Life Insurance Section in New York. • Lead confidential inquiries and provide expert guidance on pension related benefits in connection with (planneseparation from service. • Lead the full spectrum of advisory and administrative services in connection with separations from service and on (early/deferreretirement. • Liaise with insurance providers on individual complex medical issues/cases requiring intervention and a mediated approach. • Lead the administrative process in relation to all social security aspects in cases of death. • Assist staff members in preparing compensation claims under Appendix D and/or under the Malicious Acts Insurance Policy for quality and completeness assurance purposes and subsequent submission to ABCC (Advisory Board on Compensation Claim. • Liaise with ABCC, FRMS (Financial Resources Management Servic, UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organizatioand other Viennabased Organizations, as well as other local institutions and offices (e.g. “Pensionsverischerngsanstalt”, notary firms, etc.) and represent the Unit in meetings related to social security issues. • Assist the Legal and Policy Team in OASU in conducting research and provide guidance on (complehost country matters upon referral from other counterparts in the Division for Management, including, but not limited to, on the subjects of legitimation cards, visas and maternity leave (“Kinderbetreungsgeld”, Krankengeld”, et. • Draft and prepare correspondence, official circulars, special messages and certificates, update information materials, maintain automated databases containing social security related statistics and prepare periodic reports and maintain individual insurance files. • Undertake continuous data reporting in Umoja and insurance provider automated systems to ensure consolidation of records. • Perform backup functions within SST and other workrelated duties as required. • Assist with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making. • Assist with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures. • Perform other work related duties as required.

Work Experience
Seven years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, administrative services or related area, is required. The minimum years of experience is reduced to three for candidates who possess a first level university degree or higher. Several years of experience in the administration of employee benefits and entitlement, preferably in the United Nations or similar international organization is desirable. Working experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is desirable. Familiarity with HR Partner role in SAP/Umoja is desirable.
