JOB DESCRIPTION

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dedicated Contract Recruiter (payrolled through a third party) to join our Global Recruitment team, with a specific focus on the Home Study and Post Release Services Project (HSPRS). This is a large, and growing, national program that serves the needs of unaccompanied children after they are identified and released from government custody. This role provides an incredible opportunity to contribute your recruitment expertise to a mission-driven organization addressing the global refugee crisis. Your role will be pivotal in helping IRC build a team that responds to the urgent needs of unaccompanied children.

In this contract role, you will play an essential part in connecting talented professionals with life-changing roles. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and relationship-building skills to support IRC’s talent acquisition in a dynamic, service-oriented environment that values innovation and collaboration. Working virtually, you will partner with colleagues across our global team to achieve effective, efficient recruitment for both U.S. and international humanitarian positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full life cycle recruitment for your portfolio of positions, from sourcing to final negotiation, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
  • Employ creative and effective sourcing strategies to find highly qualified candidates.
  • Communicate continuously with candidates and hiring managers to keep them informed on recruitment progress.
  • Coordinate interview logistics, conduct and evaluate reference checks using SkillSurvey, and manage candidate records in IRC’s ATS, Cornerstone.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring and HR managers to negotiate offers and ensure the best possible candidate experience.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in full life cycle recruitment, with a background in nonprofit, service-oriented, or humanitarian sectors preferred.
  • Experience in a fast paced agency environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Cornerstone experience is a plus), social media recruitment tools, and job boards.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a client-service mindset and commitment to IRC’s values of Integrity, Service, and Accountability.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Join IRC in this meaningful role where you can make a direct impact in addressing humanitarian needs by helping us find and recruit exceptional talent.
