THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. will implement a five-year project entitled: A Gender-Responsive Systems Approach to Universal Health Care (GRASP-UHC) in the Philippines.

 

This intervention aims to improve the health outcomes of vulnerable populations, by enhancing the capacity of local government units (LGUs) to provide affordable and equitable access to healthcare goods and services through effective Universal Health Care (UHC). The project will be implemented in collaboration with Plan International, The Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF), the Unité de santé internationale de l’Université de Montréal (USI-UdeM), and local civil society organizations.

 

In line with this project, we invite competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position.

 

The Project Manager will provide overall leadership management and technical direction over the implementation of the project according to the standards of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness and ensure an integrated and coordinated vision with the project partner Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) and with the different project actors/stakeholders.

 

Further, as the Project Manager:

 

  • You will be responsible for the project’s financial and programmatic integrity, ensuring key milestones are met according to agreed timelines and implementation standards.
  • You will identify and manage project risks, and in consultation with partners, take the necessary actions to address those risks, modifying approaches to adapt to changing circumstances, if, and when necessary.
  • You will, in coordination with the project lead at ZFF, serve as the principal liaison with the Department of Health and manage the relationship with other relevant government agencies, building synergy and alignment towards the project’s vision.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with donor regulations and organizational mandates.
  • You will conduct regular field visits and provide technical and operational recommendations.
  • You will represent the project and its vision to relevant external stakeholders to advance the project’s advocacy and campaign agenda.
  • Plan International Pilipinas Foundation Inc. is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities.

 

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

 

To be successful in the role you will need among other things:

 

  • University degree in a health-related discipline, social development, social sciences, or other related fields. Advanced degree an advantage.
  • At least five years of solid project management experience, two years of which preferably spent in managing health-related projects/programs.
  • Good knowledge and grounding in community development, partnership and stakeholder engagement, networking, advocacy, campaigns, data management and research, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Able to demonstrate sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Very good computer applications knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills, excellent writing skills, and demonstrated ability to produce high-quality reports and deliverables on time.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic team.
  • This role requires fieldwork. Applicant must be open and able to conduct fieldwork in areas covered by the project.
  • Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
