The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its newly created Centre of Excellence, a (Senior) M365 Solution Architect – based in Poland*. This position will be part of Group Corporate Services Directorate – Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO) – Data & Information Solutions Department (DIS) – Content Management Solutions Division (CMS) – Collaboration Solutions Unit (CS) located in the EIB External Office in Warsaw, Poland.

This is a full-time temporary position at grade 5/6 in Warsaw, Poland. The term of the contract will be 4 years.

We are seeking an M365 Solution Architect to join our dynamic IT team to design and implement cutting-edge solutions within Microsoft 365 (M365). This role is critical to our mission of transforming our document management systems and enhancing our information management roadmap. You will Lead the EIB Group Microsoft 365 (M365) / Azure solution architecture as well as related initiatives and activities in line with best practices defined by enterprise architecture and ensuring optimal M365 related solutions are implemented/delivered.

Operating Network

You will report directly to the Head of Collaboration Solutions Unit. You will work in close collaboration with various IT teams and internal stakeholders. As you will be based in Warsaw some business travel to the EIB Headquarters in Luxembourg is foreseen.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with key business and technical stakeholders to define and refine the EIB Group’s information management roadmap with a focus on M365 solutions
  • Engage actively in maximizing the business value from M365 solutions, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes
  • Design and propose technical solutions that meet both business and technical needs, filling gaps with innovative ideas
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for translating complex business and technical requirements into solution architecture, ensuring the delivery of solutions meet current and future needs
  • Stay updated on business and technical trends within your domain to ensure our solutions stay ahead of the curve
  • Report on the progress of M365 activities and architectural initiatives, maintaining transparency with stakeholders
  • Oversee the product lifecycle for M365 solutions, ensuring they continuously meet user and technical needs.
  • Implement and uphold IT policies in your domain, optimizing key operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

  • University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of as a Solution Architect or Lead Developer
  • Experience with MS / M365 tools, products and solutions as well as with M365 implementations, roll outs, and user adoption activities
  • Functional and technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 as well as Microsoft organisational tools and suites incl
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, with presence and authority to influence stakeholders and partners
  • Expertise in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of business-related management information systems
  • Experience with cloud adoption and especially with Microsoft Azure is considered as an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.

As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
