The Human Resources Department (HRD) administers and develops human resources in the IDB Group. It also oversees the implementation of the Human Capital Strategy, building and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of our results-based business model, and focusing on developing the Bank’s talent and technical skills capacity. HRD provides services to IDB Invest (~500 employees in 26 countries) and IDB Lab (~100 employees in 26 countries). Both are members of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, a multilateral development bank committed to supporting Latin American and Caribbean businesses. IDB Invest, with a portfolio of $14.1 billion in asset management and 325 clients, finances sustainable companies and projects to achieve financial results and improve the region’s economic, social, and environmental development. IDB Lab is the innovation and venture laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank Group. Its purpose is to discover new ways to drive social inclusion, environmental action, and productivity in Latin America and the Caribbean. IDB Lab leverages financing, knowledge, and connections to support early-stage entrepreneurship, foster the development of new technologies, activate innovative markets, and catalyze existing sectors.

About this position:

HRD has a dedicated team that provides services to IDB Invest with the support of Centers of Excellence (functional experts) and a Service Center (transaction processors). The services support the entire employee lifecycle (e.g., recruitment, hiring, career development, performance management, rewards and recognition, compensation, benefits services, and payroll). We are looking for a Human Resources Analyst. As an analyst, you will report directly to the Head of Human Resources for IDB Invest and IDB Lab and work closely with the HR Business Partners, HR Subject Matter Experts, and the HR Service Center to support and implement the HR Strategy, initiatives, programs, and processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in the design and execution of HR-related initiatives (e.g., attraction, retention, engagement, development, performance, compensation, communication).
  • Design high-quality analysis, monitoring of data, reporting, and presentations to be delivered to Senior Management periodically and to broader audiences when needed.
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialists in the Human Resources Department and other Departments.
  • Engage and support different stakeholders at all levels and functions across the organization.

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or another related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in similar functions. Experience in management consulting or corporate banking is a plus.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may assist you and your eligible dependents with relocation and visa applications.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Type of contract and duration:

  • Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
  • Length of contract: 24 months with the possibility of extending for another year).
  • Work Location: On site.
