The Security and Safety Services of the UN City as part of the UN Security Management System (UNSMS) works to enable the conduct of United Nations activities while ensuring the safety, security and well-being of personnel and the security of United Nations premises and assets in Denmark.
The Security and Safety Services of the UN City is managed by UNOPS on behalf of the UN in Denmark and the Security Training and Communications Intern will be reporting to the Deputy Security Adviser (DSA), supporting a variety of tasks and projects related to security and safety training and communications products, to increase security and safety awareness among UN personnel in Denmark.

Education
The applicant must be pursuing a university degree such as Bachelor, Masters or Ph.D. (or the equivalent) in security risk management, criminal justice systems, security information management, international relations or media/communications is desirable, although not essential, or have graduated from such studies within three years prior to the application date of the internship.
Experience
While no prior work experience is required, background in the field of security, safety, international relations or media/communications is desirable.
Language Requirements
Contract level: Internship
Contract duration: 6 months, with possibility of renewal.
This internship is not designed to lead to a staff position with UNOPS. Therefore, there should be no expectation of employment at the end of the internship.
Interns may be eligible for a monthly stipend from UNOPS provided that they do not receive funds from other institutions. However, they must make their own arrangements for accommodation, travel and necessary visa arrangements.
