What will you do in this position?

The Ukraine HR team supports its clients, managers and staff in fields like recruitment, daily operations, and strategic HR Management. This position’s main responsibilities will be planning, analyzing, data mining, analytics, and reporting. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the human resources workforce analytics of Ukraine Country Office.

The incumbent will lead predictive/descriptive analysis using statistical methods, develop Tableau dashboards on key HR metrics and communicate insights through engaging reports, presentations, and briefings.

This includes working with local partners to distribute food rations in areas near the frontline and providing cash transfers wherever people have access to banks and markets to buy food. Since March 2022, WFP has distributed food and cash assistance equivalent to 2.4 billion meals to families displaced and affected by the war, partnering directly with local responders.

How can you make a difference?

In this position, you will have to:

  • Lead predictive/descriptive analysis using statistical methods, develop online and offline dashboards on key HR metrics and communicate insights through engaging reports, presentations, and briefings.
  • Consult with internal clients to frame their data requests and to understand their needs, and based on analysis and needs, develop timely reports and dashboards, based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Support the regular update and maintenance of WFP Ukraine Organisational Charts.
  • Lead the update of WFP Ukraine staff list, based on organizational charts and staffing status updates. Ensure sharing the staff and positions lists with other relevant units (Security, Reporting, TEC, Administration, etc.).
  • Provide strategic support in terms of planning, monitoring and reporting on country office activities and related deliverables.
  • Lead and proactively support in innovation and simplification projects, including the automation of reports and data products for HR and other teams in the Enabling Services departments.
  • Proactively initiate the development of actionable metrics that drive forecasting capabilities and strategic insights and continuously identify ways to improve the quality and efficiency of HR reporting.
  • Perform workforce analytics and other ad-hoc reporting, including supporting the Country Portfolio Budget (CPB) HR contributions.
  • Ensure that reporting requirements from both internal and external stakeholders are fully met and on a timely basis.
  • Interpret and analyze HR data to help inform strategic decision-making on HR processes and strategies.
  • Train and build the capacity of the HR team in terms of WFP HR data analytics, systems and processes.
  • Perform other tasks as required

To join us in saving lives, changing lives, you will have:

Education: Advance University degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business or Public Administration, Sociology, HRM or related field, or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or coursework/trainings.

Experience: Minimum of one year of postgraduate experience in HR Information Technology, HR processes and systems. Must have demonstrated experience using HR Data Analytics tools and cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems/applications such as SAP, Oracle, SuccessFactors or Workday. High-level level proficiency in MS Excel will be an asset.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of and working experience with corporate HR information systems (Payroll, Personnel).
  • Creative problem solver, flexible and constructive approach.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, attention to details and prioritize multiple stakeholder requests.
  • Good knowledge of HR business processes, practices and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Experience with data visualization tools an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HR data, time-dependent data and workforce analytics an asset. – Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate, UN/WFP specific processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of Organisational Chart tools such as Visio.

Language: Fluency (level C) in both in English and Ukrainian languages.
