Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and logistical arrangements for each event, including venue selection, scheduling, and coordination with event vendors. Prepare and distribute event materials such as agendas, programs, and participant information packets. Follow up with existing partners to confirm their participation and address any logistical or informational needs they may have. Maintain a database of partner contacts and communication logs. Help draft and disseminate promotional materials and updates related to the events through various channels (email, social media, etc.). Coordinate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all event-related content. Provide on-site support during events, including registration, attendee assistance, and coordination with volunteers. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the events
Qualifications/special skills
Interns must either be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The lowest degree indicated should be HS Diploma.The lowest degree – bachelor Master degree certificate is an advantage Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities is required
Languages
Fluent command of English and Azerbaijani languages is required. Knowledge of Russian or other UN language is advantageous.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for climate action. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in event management, partnership coordination, and sustainability advocacy. The intern will support for organization and implementation of several UN event. This will also include 29 series of events which The United Nations Office in Azerbaijan that has launched in collaboration with various government bodies, international organizations, and private sector dedicated to the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (COP29).
